FWIW, the 1995 Audi brochure, indicates all of the above. On the Sport 90
the gauges, sport seats (w/sport cloth), lowered "sportier" suspension,
5-spoke wheels (like Cabriolet) are standard. Metallic paint was not listed
as an option, which could imply red, black, white and maybe silver as the
only colors. And the rear wing for both 90 and A6 are optional.
I picked up the brochure while attending a car show this weekend in Hilton
Head, SC. Audi NA was there and had 3 cars on display, including a silver
S6 (in the new body style/trim). When I told them I was an Audi owner,
they asked me about my dealership and satisfaction with them. Appearantly
the most local (to Hilton Head) Audi dealership recently closed.
Also, I was invited to the car show by BMW (even though I planned to attend
anyway). But BMW, gave us a free lunch, had the Editor at large from
Motor Trend, free tickets to the car show and about 10 BMWs to test drive
at our leasure. It was great to take a 540i, 325i Convertible, 325is, 525i,
etc. and drive to our hearts content. My point being an Audi event of
similiar proportion would have been great. This is the second test drive
in 3 months that BMW has offered me, with no sales hype or pressure.
The other BMW driving event was a comparison drive, showing off BMWs ASC
(skid/spin control). They compared a ASC 325i to a C-280, J30 and ES300,
driving over slick surfaces (soaped up rubber pad). I am sure that a
Quattro Audi was not compared for obvious reasons!!!
