Bring it to your nearest Audi dealer ASAP, demand a loaner, and tell them
to call you when it works.   If one pokes around too much, one runs the
chance of voiding the warranty.  Furthermore, without wiring diagrams
and/or a thorough knowledge of how things work, it is doubtful that the
problem could be found.  And then what if a part needs replacing?  One
would have to bring it to the dealer anyway to buy the part or get
_free_ warranty service.

In cases such as this, the DIY benefit/cost ratio is less than one, 
and may in fact be negative.
