I had leaking 'X' screw on my 5000CS '86. Fortunately, the one leaking was
on the top of the pump. I've bought new screw and o-ring from the dealer
(HBL Audi in VA) for $7 and have replaced leaking screw with the pump in
place. No leak since then. It's about 6 month.
The tool used was the pry bar. One end of the bar I've shaped using electric
sand wheel.
