Coupe Quattro advice

Hello to all. I am a new member on this mailing list, having found it through
the rec.auto.vw group on internet. Since subscribing, I must say that I enjoy
reading the postings as I have searched for a specific Audi group for awhile.

Was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or specifics about the effect of the
1995 Audi price restructuring on used (i.e.) 1993-1994 models. I would assume
that it will deflate the current market value of the 93-94 models. Any
opinions?

I am a graduate student at Purdue and currently am the extremely proud owner of
a pearl white 1991 Quattro Coupe. It has 44,000 miles on it and the warranty
expires the end of January. Having been raised around only German automobiles,
I know the cash-saving importance of having factory warranties. Out-of
warranty expenses compound the tough job of supporting enthusiasm for Audis by
owning one while in graduate school. So, I am seeking advice on the following
subject...

I have figured that financially (strictly in terms of depreciation) I think that
I am better off to sell my present Audi in the next couple of months in favor
of a 1993 90CS Quattro with considerable time left on the warranty. While I
love my present Quattro and the tradition history behind the Coupe, selling is
the direction in which I am leaning.

Would appreciate any advice on personal experiences with repairs and expenses
on the 1991 Coupe Quattro in the 50,000+ miles category. Also would
appreciate any thoughts or opinions on my theory of selling my Coupe Quattro
in favor of a '93 90CS Quattro. Good or bad idea?

Thanks for your thoughts.
