Wow, you're the first person I've heard who is just a user
and is willing to come forth.  Now I have to wonder if any of 
the car mag tests against the things were biased.  I'm sure if 
they were phenominally effective they would eat a chunk out of
cincinnatti microwave et al. and thus force the REOs to buy laser 
equipment.  This would not be good for the advertising budgets
(by nature laser detectors will often just give you enough warning
to get your license out, unless you're going to run it), plus the fact that
for so long the radar gun/detector manufacturers had a nice thing going
with band changes etc.

hmmm more to think about.
