This is exactly what the lemon law is for--more than 4-6 visits for the
same problem and you are entitled a full refund in most states.  Such a
shame, as the V6s of my girlfriend, brother, a colleague run like Swiss
watches as did mine.  Never a glitch or hiccup, no hesitation,
nothing.  However, they all do emit a substantial rotten-eggs odor,
especially after spirited driving.  So at least something is right with
your father's car!
