Does your 5000 have the mechanical vacuum pump that the 4000q uses?
(Driven by the cam)
It seem like that would supply proper vacuum regardless of manifold pressure.
Actually, I've always wondered why that pump is there. The four cylinder cars
don't have one. Seem like it would be useful only on a turbo car.
Anyone know?
