Why aren't you using the aux radiator? I have my water temp instrumented,
and I certainly have to say that I agree with Robert about the marginal
cooling. It seems to be OK for any sort of "normal" driving, but when
you start turning up the wick, you quickly run out of thermal reserve.
BTW, I believe my car has a stock cooling system, with a thermostat
that seems to open at around 180 F and a fan that seems to come on
at around 200-220 F. Does that jive with what you saw before you switched
over to the 160 F stuff?
