I have had this same problem on my 87 4000 CS - 4 cyl. It will go on for
a second and if I give the car a little gas it goes away. It never happens
at idle, but rather when the RPM's are low. Again, as in your problem
it happens like once every 500 miles....

I would very much like to know what it is! After reading the recent
ground strap thread, I will be looking into that this weekend, since
my guages have been a little screwy. The temp guage always points to
something like 70 C, and the oil pressure guage is usually max out past
 5 bar.

Anyone know what else I should look into?
