Phil, as I understand it, you're not opposed to the dash pod idea as
long as you could find some tasteful digital gauges to go in it. I noticed in
my D&W catalog(German) that Interad makes a line of digital gauges, oil temp,
Well, another alternative wholly in keeping with spending far FAR too much
money (we are talking Audi, aren't we?) would be to investigate some air-
craft instruments. Some years back, somebody was making the *NEATEST*
guages -- a "bargraph" of LEDs (LCD?) circling a digital readout in the
middle the guage (2 1/8 round guages). Musta been LEDs, 'cuz I think they
were color-coded (yellow cold, green normal, yellow hot, red DAMN HOT).
This was coolant temp; someone also makes a head/exhaust temp guage in
the same venue, but with harness/switch (in guage?) for multiple sensors,
like for cyls 1-6 . . . of course being aircraft-certified, they make
a set of tires look cheap! But Seexxxyyyyyyy!
