Completely different exhaust system on the quattro. At dealer prices the
cat-back portion (2 pieces) will set you back around $750 or so. Much
better prices are available on the after market. I have ANSA parts on mine
now, they were cheaper (around $200 ea piece) but the quality is not as good
as Audi's. I think I saw PAP advertise 4000q exhaust parts in a flyer
recently for lower that what I paid. Some have said here that the middle
muffler can be replaced with straight pipe; I believe it, it seems to be
just a straight-through resonator type design.
