Completely different exhaust system on the quattro.  At dealer prices the
cat-back portion (2 pieces) will set you back around $750 or so.  Much
better prices are available on the after market.  I have ANSA parts on mine
now, they were cheaper (around $200 ea piece) but the quality is not as good
as Audi's.  I think I saw PAP advertise 4000q exhaust parts in a flyer 
recently for lower that what I paid.  Some have said here that the middle
muffler can be replaced with straight pipe; I believe it, it seems to be 
just a straight-through resonator type design.
