Re: Any problems with new oxygenated gas?

I also see a 10 - 15% drop in mileage with the oxygenated gas; no drivability
problems though. I switch to regular unleaded (87 octane) in the coldest
part of winter from the premium unleaded (93 octane) that I normally use.
I don't find the performance degrading too much due to the colder denser
air compensating for it (its a turbo - 87 5000 TQ). I feel that the lower
price of the regular compensates for the drop in mileage. Moreover you don't
mind a slight loss of power when you are on snow/ice covered roads anyway.

I am still running the premium since we haven't had any snow here in NJ.
But will switch to regular soon.
