Very much so.  When my car sits for a weekend in the garage (Calif) it 
takes over 5 minutes of driving to get rid of valve noise.  Somebody
was telling me revving the engine at very high RPM could clear this 
up.  I can not recommend this but if you do decide to try it, make
sure your car is warmed up (oil temp up to normal) before trying this...
