Ned (and others to whom this has happened),

The same thing happens, sporadically, to me. I am (more or less) active on
both this list and Porschephiles, and I thought, at first, that the problem
might be at one of the the reflector's. But when the problem hits, it happens
to messages from both lists equally.

Disclaimer: I'm passing on what I've been told. It may be wrong, and I sure
don't understand everything I know about this, but here goes anyway: My mail
sysadmin guy recently told me that the problem happens when I send a message to
an address that has gone off the net (temporarily or not). This, he explained,
causes stuff to back-up and be re-sent.

Does this make sense to anyone? It sure as hell doesn't to me...sounds like
these backed-up messages, having time on their (figurative) hands, start
messin' around and breedin' like little etheric rabbits...

Okay, now some of you sysadmin guys that know what the hell *is* going on feel
free to jump in anytime and clear the air (or add to the confusion, as the
spirit moves you...).

Cheers,
