I would guess that the intercooler-mounted sensor is a temp sensor. Do
you have the temp sensor in the intake manifold just downstream from the
throttle-body? Thanks for the description of the intercooler and oil
cooler layout, it is very different from early (82-85) ur-Quattros. Quite
an animal! I wonder if it is more closely related to the 20V ur-Quattro
layout-wise.....
