Standard German advice is to mount speakers in the front doors, forward of the 
space occupied by the descending window.  The front grill speakers are either 
disconnected or connected (with a series resistance of an ohm or two) in 
parallel with the door speakers.
 
I have two Clarion GS-537Es - they're 16cm in diameter.
 
The constitution:
 
16cm woofer, 320g magnet
5cm squawker, 20g magnet
4cm tweeter, 10g magnet
Rated 30w nominal, 60w max.
