rare sighting...

This morning as I was taking my son to school, we spotted a very old European
van with "Sausalito Organic Foods" written on the side. On closer look, we saw
the familiar four circles. The van pulled over at a store and, of course, we
did too. On speaking with the driver, we learned that the van is a 1956
DKW/Auto Union with a 3 cylindar 1 liter engine. The van looked to be in very
good condition. The owner claimed he rebuilt the engine 8 years ago and never
has trouble. He also said he'd never seen another one. Parts come from a guy in
Oregon (Portland area) who owns Columbia Heavy Equipment who imports DKW parts.
