Hot starting problem solved ... (simple).

Hi everybody,
my part time job as an Audi electrician is over.
Once again, the problem was obvious.
Summary:
The car had problems starting when warm. It needed 10-20 cranks. When cold
everything was fine. One morning it decided it should also have a problem when
cold. So it just wouldn't start. The diagnostics showed the error code for
hall control unit or distributor out of phase. After triple checking that the Hall and
all the connections are ok I was almost sure that it's the OXS control unit.
Then a friend showed me that the distributor was loose ... !!! ??? It would rotate.
The bolt that ties it on the engine was loose ...
Shock, !
The car was recently (November) at a mechanic to change a valve and a
belt. A little after that I noticed my problems. I got the car back to him,
he looked at it, said it was probably the Control Unit, but but not for sure,
charged me 100$ for 2 hours of labor, and suggested to get it to the dealer for
further checking.
I am mad... The guy not only breaks the car but charges 100 not to fix it, when
the problem was obvious ...

PS
Did I mentioned that the guy is an "Audi Specialist" ?
