Brake and Washers

First, the little gray thing in the washer hose line is a one-way check 
valve. It is the most common place where the washer line plugs up.  It is 
in there so the system does not bleed down and you get washers right 
away. So far I have only found them at the dealer.

Second, on the brake warning light and slow fuild leak. It may not be the 
rack that is leaking. You really need to check the high pressure hose 
with goes from the pump to the pressure accumulator. This hose is have a 
foam cover which can absorb the PS fuild and make the leak hard to pinpoint.
