hi,

mine is the slush version, but i seldom leave it in "D". there is a "M"
selector switch and the nice zig-zag mercedes style gate allows manual,
clutchless shifts without fear of getting "R" or "N".

the torque convertor has its uses too, for brake torquing if you want to
make a quick getaway from a traffic light.. let it build some pressure,
release the left foot on the brake and the car tears away like a scalded
cat. very easy.

i take it they don't allow studs where you are.. over here it tears up the
roads, but on icy days the pirelli 210 (which i have on my corrado) are
useless. i make it a point to mount the studded tires only on days when
it is actually needed.
