When I climbed under my 4000S to change the fuel filter, I realized that
the pump, along with the accumulator and filter had rusted through the
shock mounts that you mentioned. It just can't be healthy for all of
that to be bouncing around every time you hit a bump. I made use of the
honorable zip-tie, so as to secure the components, but let them move a
little so as not to vibrate on the body. Worked so far...
