When I got my Scirroco used, I couldn't make sense of the venting system. All
the rules in the owners manual about what air came from what vent at what time
were truly mind boggling. I finally figured it all out and found the vents were
working to factory spec! When I bought an '81 Coupe last year, I was dismayed
to find the same bizarre ideas carried over. I figure my center vent is
basically useless.
