I believe that the Coupes and the 4000S cars do have the same exhaust.
As for the Eurorace system, I don't think it will last more than 3 to
3.5 years, tops. Living in Atlanta & So. Florida, the car isn't exposed
to salt, so the system may have a shorter life up there. It only cost
$140 for the system, so I'll be happy if it last three years, and it has
helped improve the performance of the engine.
I don't know the difference between mandrel bent and compression bent,
so I cannot help you with that. I installed it myself, but I did have
to have the local Midas flair out one of the pipe ends, as it wasn't
finished correctly. Also, it doesn't fit quite right, and somewhere along
the system rattles against the car. I was going to take it to a shop and
have them adjust it, but now that it is so old (and the new rubber hangers
I installed have stretched out, reducing the rattle to a once-in-a-while
occurence), I will just live with it.
It does sound kind of cool. I think I would have been a lot happier with
it if I had a shop install it. Being at school, I have limited tools and
installing it was more difficult than I felt it should be.
All in all, I don't regret the decision, and would probably really like it
if it fit better. Also, the dual tips sticking out from the bumper look kind
of cool, now that I'm used to it.
