Well, I paid $1000 for my '81 Coupe with 92k on the clock. I bought it from a
friend and it was in generally perfect shape with the exception of tires, rear
brakes, and a few other things. My guess is I've got about $2000 in it now and
I'm happy. To me, $2800 for a good '84 seems reasonable if it is in very good
shape.
