re: Re: Quattro Club USA/Driving Schools
Andrew,
I was also at the Virginia City Hillclimb last year as a spectator only. I didn't run into Dan though.
The Quattro club can sometimes get you a ride with another driver so that you can experience the
thrill if you can't bring your car. I was able to get one ride on the course in a slightly modified
5000CSTQ and can say it is definetly an E-Ticket adventure.
The best ride that weekend came from a little cruise Ned Ritchie took me on over one of the roads
leading out of town. That 350 HP 5000CSTQ of his was incredible going over 100 on some long
sweeper turns. The cars braking capability is also great.
I stopped at the event on the way home from a business trip and it was "WELL" worth it. The Quattro
Club is very hospitable and makes you feel at home. The Saturday night dinner featured guest
speaker Lewis "RUFF" of Hi Performance Porsche fame. He showed a video of one of his drivers
taking a RUFF Porsche through its paces on a race track, I believe it was the Nurburgring. The video
was incredible!
I would try and attend one of the Quattro events that occur across the U.S. this coming year.
I am attending the one in Portland, OR this weekend, Feb 17-18.
