euro oil pan for 4K series

Ti,
   Thanks for the info.  You are correct, I ran the part number through my 
local parts dept. and it came back invalid.  I was wondering, does anyone 
know if the VW Fox pan is the same size or larger than the stock 4000 pan. 
 If Ti's euro pan fits both, then I would assume that the stock Fox pan 
should also fit the 4000's... true or false?

If anyone is interested... the cast aluminum finned and baffled
oil pan that I have has a factory part number of 049 103 603.
It will fit any 4-cylinder Audi 4000, VW Fox, Quantum and Dasher.
It's a European part, so I don't think you can order one through
a US Audi dealer.  But if you happen upon Germany...

   Phil, could you check the VW/Audi dealers in the UK to see if they could 
get this part??  Thanks.

And to those who remember... I'll still checking on the 5 cylinder crank 
holding tool.
