Yeah, right. The real reason is that it makes enforcement with Laser
Radar easier. Nothing like having a rather large State-mandated laser
reflector mounted to the front of your car...
Those who don't agree with a front plate (ostensibly for appearance reasons)
may try reporting the front plate lost.
Here in NY, the NY City Parking Violations Bureau has been cracking down on
missing front plates; however, simply reporting the front plate lost
to your local precinct orDMV office earns you an exemption card, which can
be proudly displayed near the registration.
