I thought the original problem was a flickering oil light due to air
getting sucked in by the oil pump screen in sharp turns. Thats why the
special oil pan with baffles was supposed to avoid the oil from moving
away from the oil pickup in turns. Although your options 1 and 2 above
will add extra capacity, that extra quart of oil will be in the system
above and not in the oil pan during turns - so will not eliminate the
problem - don't know about the accusump system though.
Seems like the cheapest solution will be to overfill the crankcase just
a little (half to one quart) to avoid the oil level dropping too low on
turns. The oil should NOT be overfilled so much as to make the crankshaft
counter-weights hit the oil - that'll make the oil froth, leading to air
bubbles being sucked in to the pump.
