Normal, confusing but normal. As per 1.2 bar, in what gear is that?  I can 
usually
get 1.3 - 1.4 in third and fourth (don't usually look in fifth, moving too 
fast, don't
want to shift my attention elsewhere).

If you're getting 18 but the unreset computer shows 22 I would imagine the 
previous
several tankfuls had actual mpg of >22.  A reset is definitely needed for an 
accurate
reading.
