Audi uses a dynamic oil psi reading system.It checks pressur at 2 rpm 
ranges at idle and above 2000rpm it has 2 switchs a .8 bar and a 1.8 bar 
.the 1.8bar switch is bad .It is on top of the oil filter housing it's 
round and silver with 2 wires.It also controls your bar oil psi gauge.I 
have worked on audis for 13 years I have seen this problim alot.the 
switch is about $90.00
