The one issue that is not being discussed here is that the computer is also
in control of the ignition timing ... messing around with the boost info to
the computer may cause it to select inappropriate timing. I know people have
performed this modification and have gotten acceptable results, but it would
probably be better to have a chip that was aware of the true situation.
At the internet quattro get together on Saturday Tomas Kasan had a '83TQC
that had a chip he bought from someplace in Canada. I'm trying to get more
information, but Tomas said that it was put together by someone who raced
TQCs. I wonder if this chip would be applicable to 5000Ts as well.
