You need a Heli-coil kit.  Find one for the size of the threads that the 
pan originally had.  You will have to remove the pan, drill it out with 
the required size drill bit, retap the hole with the tap included in the 
kit, use the installation tool provided with the kit to install the 
Heli-coil insert, and away you go.  

This also works great for stripped spark plug holes also, but you have to 
remove the head so that the metal shavings from all the drilling and 
tapping don't go into the cylinder bore.

Approximate cost for the kit:  $20-$30 U.S.
