A6Q in short supply??

I have had an A6Q on order for 6 weeks and my dealer tells me that it
has not been built yet!  He also says that these cars are very rare and
that no dealers (at least here in the northeast) have them.

Could someone out there let me know if this is the case everywhere?  It
would be especially helpful to hear from a dealer if this is true.
