If you want to minimize "freeway wheel track walking" you should also
consider switching from the
16x8" wheels to something more reasonable, like 15x6" or 15x7", as well
as switching to a
higher-profile specification tire. The tire change will also improve your
wet-weather handling
regardless of the make/model of tire selected. Think "tall and narrow" in
general.
The wheel change will make a big difference in reducing/eliminating the
"tracking" effect, IMFO.
