Go for the Hella's!  I found a set of discontinued(?) Hella 160's for 
about $40 at a local salvage yard.  They were in the box, brand new.  
They are more of a fog/foul weather light as the beams are low and wide, 
with a sharp cut-off.  No, they don't have any more left, I got the last 
set.  From using other types of aux. lights through the years, the 
Hella's are the best.  BTW, I upgraded them to 100W bulbs too.

As for the looks, they always get strange looks from other drivers.  One 
doesn't realize how unfamiliar the average U.S. citizen is to the Rally 
scene.  Mine came with the big plastic white Hella covers for them.  I 
have thought of a bit of irony though...I have been wondering if those 
old K.C. light covers with the smiley faces would fit.  This has the 
potential to really keep 'em wondering!
