I for one prefer the analog. My vette had the digital, and that was one
reason I got rid of it so fast. Every time you look down, you have to
focus and concentrate on what it says. On an analog (ESPECIALLY at high
speeds) all you have to do is look at the position of the needle(s). If
you know your car well enough, you know that 12:00 on the tach is 4500,
and 80mph on the speedo. (will vary with car...) On oil, just look down
and make sure its pinned etc... no concentration time at all.
On my Fiat spyder, I tilted my tach so that redline is 12:00, and I
barely have to move my eyes from the road. No can do with digital
I do LOVE the dash on the S4 and S6, white background on the gauges. The
959 I test drove had the same and I fell in love with it then.
