UV lights


Has anyone heard of the merits of High intensity UV lighting for long 
range visibility of reflective signs? I have read some studies that shows 
the signs really jump out in the dark. (It said it worked quite well on 
reflective tape on the sides of cops..but why would I care about that? :)

What would be a good source for UV?
