On my escort of the 80's my speedo was not working after 80K miles. With 
no tach, it was tough to tell how fast I was going! Once I got pulled 
over, and asked the question.. I said no, my speedometer doesnt work. 
Thinking it would help, he promptly wrote me a ticket for speeding and 
having faulty equipment!!
