Well, the car hasn't fallen off the lift (yet) and the mechanic gave it a clean 
bill of health, so I am the proud new owner of a 1990 Audi 200T! Gotta go 
deliver the POs plates and some moulah, but in the meantime it's mine...er, my 
wife's <g>

The mechanic, BTW, couldn't track down the squeaking noise but thought it might 
be due to the original serpentine belts. We'll see...they're getting replaced 
today, along with some other original filters and fluids...

BTW, someone asked about excessive bass response from the Audi/Bose sound 
system. I played with my system this morning. If you turn the bass all the way 
down, it's almost acceptable boomwise.
