Sounds like a vacuum leak ... have you replaced the injector seals and/or
inserts (both brass and plastic) recently?

I did this on my mother's '87 5000 last weekend -- the symptoms were very
similar to those you describe -- and it cured her rough idle.  It took me
about an hour and the parts cost all of $27.80 from my local BAP store...
