I dont beleive this is because of the synthetic oil... I got 220K out of 
my 4000sq, 328K ony my old 220D, 275K on my Lynx wagon (Oh quiet!) etc 
etc... and NEVER used a synthetic... what would it buy me? I think TLC is 
the answer. I worked my cars too! (never abused, tho).
