hitch sighted on 90

Just a quick not on what I saw in my parking garage at work this 
morning.  A new(er) Audi 90 (non q) with a trailer hitch in the back 
(ball type) THis isnt unusual, however the rear bumper that surrounds the 
hitch was perfectly formed and molded around it. It looked like it came 
from the factory.  Was this an option???? It looked beautiful. Is this 
available on the 5000? I assumed you had to cut the bumper cover?!
