Well, neither my father's nor my radiator is plastic.  I don't know which
models are, and which aren't, but I would guess that all 4K & Coupe models
have all aluminum radiators (or at least '85 and earlier cars do).
I'm surprised by the number of people that have leaking radiators (umm...
people with *cars* with leaking radiators :-).  My father has pretty much
abused his over the past 12 years, yet it has never leaked, only clogged
up severely.  I guess he has been lucky (or maybe the lack of extreme
winter temperatures helps), but I assumed that his experience was normal.
I did have one leak on the top edge of my radiator, but a quick trip to a
radiator shop, some silver solder, and a $15 bucks later I was on my way
without any more coolant loss.
