Tire advice, please

I currently have the H rated U+4's on my Coupe '86. Great rain tire, good
steering, dry cornering and braking are acceptable, snow - just makes it. The
ride is bouncy but quiet enough. Please tell me more about the handling of the
RE 71s. I'm considering getting the REs in 195 60 H14s. glenn

Subject: Tire advice, please

In my never ending quest to prove the immensity of my level of cheapness,
I'm looking for some tires which, I hope, will give decent performance
and still not cost me an arm and a leg or two.

I got a little better than 10K miles out of my last set of V rated
RE71's. I guess I *do* drive it a little bit hard. :-)

I just spoke with Sonny at the Tire Rack and he recommened V-rated Yoko AVS
U+4 for me (at $83 each).

Sez he, "You ought to get about twice the mileage you got out of your RE-71's
and about the same handling."

Sez I, "Yeah?"

Sez you?
