A cap and rotor would be hard pressed to be so bad it wont pass ANY spark 
(but not impossible) If you get it at the coil, I would check the wire 
from the coil to the cap. Do this by taking it out of the cap, and seeing 
if you get spark there. If no:end if yes, take off cap. See if rotor is 
even present! :) I think you figured it out. It can only be cap, rotor or 
wires... amen.  Best o' luck
