'Multi-Function-Sender'/temp gauge flaky
My temperature gauge (engine temp) is flaky - It will read the correct
temperature some times, and others it will read sub-ambient temps. I
could really care less, since I usially know about how hot/cold my car
will be, but this tricks the computer into running "cold-mode" and knocks
off what feels like 20 HP. Since it works right sometimes, or is
completly dead the other times, could it just be a loose connection? If
so- where is this funky thing, and could anyone tell me how to clean it
so it won't freak out on me?
I hear that this is the multi-function-sender. what is
that/this/whatever. What other functions does it send?
Thanks in advance.
(BTW - since my last post, (since you are all wondering) I turned the
raviolli water down, so that it boil-ith excessivly no longer. )
