For certain applications, you may use the donuts that have a bike chain
embedded inside the rubber. My experience is on a '86 VW GTI. The donut
part number is 171 253 147 G and it's $8 at New Dimensions (800-637-2781 
or 408-980-1693) and Techtonics Tunning, OR (503-843-2700). They advise 
not to use it where the exhaust system might crack under the limited 
motion that these donuts allow. The exhaust system should be hanging 
within spec (even clearance/centered in the tunnel?) in it's static 
position before trying these out. YMMV
