re: electrical problems

Okay folks, my mechanic reported back with a clean bill of health for my 200.
Says that my wife's driving is at fault! (Hey, Chrysler used to use that one...)

Anyway, what they said was that lots of short around town trips with no longer
stuff will sap the battery because of the accessories (fan, coolant pump) that
kick on when the ignition goes off.

I consider that a very specious argument. Unless you really have to crank
for awhile (like minute or two), your car should be able to recharge
the battery in just a minute or so, even with headlights and fresh air
fan and ...

If your [wife's] trips are on the order of magnitude of 2-3 minutes each,
constantly rolling windows up and down with fan on full speed and head-
lights on highbeam and rear defrost on and radiator fan running high speed
for some reason, then I might believe you have a problem with driving style.
