Re: special/commemorative 4000quattros/GTs

My understanding of this is that only the 1987.5 Coupe GT's (January 87-on)
received the 130HP 2.3L 5-cyl engine, which I believe was standard on the
1988 Audi 90's. The window sticker indicated "Special Build" (mine's a July
87 car) but doesn't indicate specific details of the Special Build package.
Further down the sticker it lists several features that contradict the 1987
Audi sales brochure, so I presume that the contradictory items comprise the
Special Build package. From my hazy memory, these were:

Audi Coupe GT Audi Coupe GT
1987 Regular Build	1987 Special Build

Engine Displacement 2.2 (2.22?) L 2.3 L
Engine HP 110 HP 130 HP
Engine Torque ~115 lb-ft? ~136 lb-ft
Rear Brakes Drum Disk
Digital Dashboard Optional Standard
Rear Spoiler Black Body-colored
Side Mirror Housings Black Body-colored
Side Window Surrounds Black Body-colored
Door Handle Inserts Chrome? Black

That's all I can think of right now. I did notice that my interior cloth
(a dark charcoal velour) is much darker than the medium gray cloth that's
shown in the sales brochure, so there are probably other things that dif-
ferentiate the late-87 GT's from the earlier models. If anyone's interested
I'll take a closer look at the sticker and spec sheets. I also don't know
if the "Special Build" package was offered on the 4000's or not.

PS- Coincidentally, my car is for sale so if anyone wants to buy the car
to do a detailed analysis of the features..... (hint, hint!) ;-)
