Ugh, bummer! I thought TAP was one of those rip-off upgrades like
"superchips" where they don't even install a new EPROM, just a label, and
the only real mod is to defeat the overboost protection, screwing up the
OEM boost readout in the process, and supplying a stiffer WG spring to
get the higher boost. Can someone confirm this about TAP? I think you'd
be better off returning the CPU again and getting it back to stock specs,
and demanding a refund. Then send it off to IA and get it done right. You
don't save any $ if it does not work right! You might even be able to get
in on the list's group purchase price with IA, like ~$500 US.
